Finally, Emotional acceptance is the last pillar of the B.E.T.R. Method. The feelings of sadness, worthlessness, and hopelessness in depression can be intense and painful. You want to find a way to decrease their intensity. Research has shown that learning to accept, feel, and express these intense emotions is the best way for making them more tolerable. We use mindfulness techniques to help you accept your emotions, and thus weaken the hold they have on your life.
